fa la la la la la la la....

My post are getting my discreet by the month. Is not that I hate posting, Is just that no one is looking. Oh well... Might as well post. Is a horrible holiday. First of all, the little one got a bug from the daycare (it is because some parents are just not taking responsibility for their own child's well being). Sucks... She spends 6 days vomitting and pooping... It is still on going. That means we are stuck home taking care of her and watching Dora the Explorer the umpteenth time.

Other than that New Zealand is taking Xmas like their holiday. I know I come from a country where we have holidays every other month but over here this is the ONLY holiday (aside from easter and new years). Nothing is open the city centre is a ghost town. This will continue until the beginning of the new year.

Ok enough mellow talk...

Let me update...

Stuff that I am playing

I've gotten bored of the PSP, it will usually come back after a while. Now Im playing Batman Arkham Asylum for the PC. If you love batman, you owe it to yourself to play this game. This game rocks the only sad part is I only can play it early in the morning since its not suitable for kids.

Stuff that I am watching

EVERYTHING... I just got my 6 month stock from d3x which includes. 50 shows ( approx 300 episodes) 200 Movies, 400 hours of Documentaries and DVD rips to last me until July.

Stuff that I am doing

Nothing much, the wifey PHD is going very slow... she need a motivator. I hope thing will pick up after the holidays.

OK, Im out... Deck the halls...

Quick post

Ok, its 4am. I can't sleep. Or I was just about to sleep. But I decided to post here since I am not like any 80's kind of dude with a diary or such. After 3 months over here, I've finally settle down. Do I love it here? YES. Is this the best place to live? MAYBE. Do I want to stay here forever? NO. But I do love it here. I love this place so much that this place has given me a great gift. Im now 13kg's lighter than before. A lot of walking and climbing 45 degrees slopes and carrying my daughter has something to do with it.

I just figured out something. which is kind of freaking me out. I am content. I know that to be false cause human beings can be content. But I am. I figuratively am content with my life. Maybe I have a great wife, a wonderful daughter. Sure I have my own set of problems (which I won't divulge) but I am one happy camper. Its wired, I usually am the guy with a dark mood over his shoulder. Man... I miss my friends... I need to make new friends. Probably friends who are not the same species as me. I start studying this March... yay... booooooo. What to do. Nowdays everyone needs a degree in some shit to move foward. Oh well, since I have nothing to do here might as well give that a try. Plus I am starting from scratch. Which for me is ever better.

Why do no one read this blog. I think it has to do with marketing. No word to mouth. If was reading this I also won't read my stuff. This is just some incoherent babble of some lunatic who can't fall asleep for an hour. I really need to get on this facebook bandwagon (heck even my bro is on it). Man this sucks. (Wait did I just say this sucks) I have no friends probably since I am not well connected enough. Do I care? NO. I am use to having less then 5 friends. Over here I have none. My wife keeps me company and my daughter is a blast to hang around with. I miss my friends, but the funny thing is, is not like we hang out that much. Unless is playing games or munching on sushi. Sigh...

What have I observe during my stay here

1) Kiwi girls are mostly good looking ( so sue me, maybe I am the blonde girl type)

2) PC stuff here are expensive as hell

3) Nothing is open after 8pm

4) Everywhere I go I can eat Kebab (which I am sick of it)

5) The busses are pretty good

6) Everything here is quite expensive but after a while you start to accept the face that you can just go converting everything here. It will just drive you nuts.

7) Sushi is found everywhere and the miso soup here rocks.

Why no pictures... I guess that I don't see the point of me having them. Really need to get on facebook. But I am to lazy to set it up. Plus is will be another bad time waster. But I reaaly need to get connected. Will do that later

Ok wrap up before going to bed

Stuff that I am playing

Im playing my PSP again. GO figure. There is this cool site which give me access to old PS1 games. Which I am havving a blast on. Plus I am now playing a lot of Tekken.

Stuff that I am watching

Since my hdd with all my entertaiment need won't arrive until xmas. I am watching Kiwi Tv. Quite good. They are mostly up to date. Watching a bit of Top Chef, Survivor and Glee. Oh and in the morning Blues Clues with my lil gal.

Stuff that I am currently doing.

Nothing, aside from fondling my PSP and helping with PHD studies. Im doing shit. I am unemployed, probably i choose not to, so I stay home and cook and clean. Which is a swell gig for me. Ok then..

Signing off... Hopefully I get to post again soon....

Scary ad...

Well nothing to blog about this much today.(Actually there is but im just lazy, with pictures somemore). Since no one is looking at this blog. I'm going to start slow. I leave you guys to day with this very creepy ad. I don't know the excact numbers but death by intersection is the 3rd highest mortality rate in NZ. So is death by train (people never pay attention to the stop sign) So the goverment put this ad up to give people awareness is this issue. For me I find the guy in this ad creepy. Its like the grim reaper meet pat sajak (for those of you who dont know who is that guy, go google it)

There is another one where tat guy made it but I can seem to find it. Here a different version. They should have this back home for the rempits...

The best food... EVER

Ok, even if I am still in NZ, i can still blog about nothing. But this is the best nothing in the world. Even you are ever hungry and want to eat a lot of MEAT. There is this cool place located in Damansara Jaya which serves the best Brazillian Barbeque. For those of you not in the know. Brazil is famous for thier BBQ. They say its the seasoning and the way they cook it. There are 3 great things about this place. 1) Its free flowing meat. 2) They won't close until you are done (open at 6pm until late) 3) It is only RM 48 Nett. Seriously for 48 bucks and get free flowing of meat and salads. Im game. Here are the pics of what they serve over there. Sorry about my friend (ZK) in the screen. He is too happy enjoying his meat. (there is a funny story behind that... tell it after this)

Ok, first off you need to get the salads at the salad table. (no picture provided) Then the meat will come in some kind of skewer. Lets see first of (from last to first) They save us Lamb sholder.

Then there is BBQ chicken. One whole bird
This is curry dory fish. This is one of my favorite

This is lamb cutlet. More bone than meat.
This is the creme de la creme. Rump roast. Tender meat and you can pick what type of meat do you like. As for e I love medium well. Well done has to take a while. Damn this is good.
This is beef cutlet. Same like lamb cutlet. But beef I think

This is chicken ham. The onion is used to hold the ham on the skewer.
Chicken sausage. Nothing fancy here.

The is the best thing beside the meat. Garlic bread. What make this garlic bread so special is that dont skimp on the gralic butter. So when you bite on this you can taste the butter melts in your mouth. This is the best garlic bread ever. Nothing can beat this

There is one more but on the day we came they did'nt serve us that. It was grilled prawn. Since they are very particular on quality. So the prawn didn't live up to the standard of cooking. This is a place highly recommended to have a party. Coz it cheap and it good if you have big eaters. Rather than bringing them to a hotel or a restaurant. This will be better.(no money comes from me advertising this, but if I say this is the best food trust me on this) The place is called Carnaval Churrarasia (No that not a typo, its just a bit hard to pronouce it).

The story behind this place is...

5 days before we are going to NZ. I wanted to buy a laptop from me. Thanks to my loving mom, got some up front money (Ielts score may have given me that added bonus). So me, ZK, and wifey all went to Lowyat to get my new HP laptop. I promise ZK that Im going to treat him to Brazillian BBQ (since I saw that when I went to Singapore, on Tv, Survivor, bla bla bla). So after we bought the laptop. I called the BBQ place saying that we are coming over. They give me a very funny answer. What do you think the answer was

a) We are not open today
b) We are fully booked
c) We are closed for business
d) We change to a chinese restaurant
e) None of the above

The answer is... later, let me tell you the story first. We all went WHAT!!!... Then I was determine to get my BBQ. After doing some wifi jacking, went to google and we found that place. It was 1 hour drive from Lowyat. We all risk it and just went there. And the rest is history. The food was so great that we told everyone of my best friends to come again 1 day before we left. That was even beeter. That time there were 10 of us and the food was even better. So that the story of the best food in town. Sigh... It's going to be a while until im back home... Ok guys... Later. Oh, I forgot, the answer to the question above is d. hehehehe... funny right. they say they will change back to the brazillan place after they finish renovation which is in a couple of months. Its thier lost, since the food at this place is around 78 bucks nett

Ok some pics for you

The main thing that everyone ask me, where the heck are the pics. I want pics. As you see is hard to take a picture while pushing your stroller down or up the hill. But your in luck. I do have a couple of pics from NZ that I can share with you. Let me get my phone... (15 mins later)

Here are some pics
This is a moving ad. They actually pay someone to drive around carry ads. Plus they get to drive in a cool smart car.

As you can see, I saw someone trying to kill themselves, At Queen Street. (Its the most happening street in town... more on that later). Actually someone is shooting and ad also. The ad is about something and that guy is trying to hang that guy from the building. Cool picture. Everyone stop and take some picture first before crossing the street.

Ah... ok, Not actually great pics. But pics non the less. Promise next week will give some really good stuff. Later peeps.

Day 18

Finally I can blog in piece. Hi guys. We have finally settled at our 1 bedroom apartment. Not to shabby I might add. But lots of stuff happen during the course of the 18 days here. Let me see if I can blog it down to the highlights

Day 0

On the flight. Everything was great. My daughter as usual was have trouble adjusting to a 10 hour flight. Plus if I am not mistaken babies can hear a irritating pop in the ear. She was crying for 1 hour and thne she puked on me on the flight. And me without my spare jeans. What to do. Finally she got to sleep. Everyone was happy (they were giving us that look before when they know something is wrong). Landed at the airport all our bags were cleared. All 100kgs of it (in laws also tagged along on the trip).

Day 1-7

Auckland... the windy city (oh wait that Christchurch). Ah... Auckland the something city. We arrived at our 2 bedroom apartment. The first thing I notice about NZ is everything is bloody EXPENSIVE. But the lesson we learn once arriving is DO NOT Convert. If you convert of course everything is expensive. For example. A loaf of bread back home cost RM 3.00. Over here is 3.50 NZ Dollars. So that roughly around RM 9. When we are in Kiwiland do what the Kiwi's do. We got a helpfull guide, which is somewhat related to my wife (her cousin husbands sister; have no idea what that makes her to us). So she showed us around, get us settled in. When here and there and everywhere (more on that later; Im here for a while, I'll blog about it eventually). We are frantically looking for another place too stay since the current place is too expensive. Its around 460 NZD a week. And we can't afford it. So we finally found a place. Which is around 330NZD ( this doesnt include power and internet just water). So we will move next week. The funny thing that happen to me was I was walking from the grocery store and out of the sudden someone yelled my name. I turned around it was my old high school buddy that I haven't seen in 9 years. What a small world indeed. Well at least I know I have 1 friend over here.

Day 8-14

We finally move. The in laws decided to go on a tour across NZ. So we have to do everything ourselves. Don't quite mind it. The sad thing about the move is that someone stole one plastic bad which has our rice cooker in it. Like any asian a rice cooker is like our life. Everyone was sad (except me). Good thing we have a kind soul (was a phd student as well; family) lend us thier 2nd rice cooker until we can one back from home. All well. Almost everyday we went out. Lots of things to see. Don't worry I'll eventually blog about it... Daughter is getting restless, so we decided to put her in daycare. The daycare here are not like what we expect back home. The caretakers are professionals and have degree in child education (who knew there was such a degree) So eventually decided to do that since she need the exposure and eventually we both will be busy with our schdule. So better start now

Day 15- Now

Getting the hang of things now. Everything is smooth flowing I guess. There is more to come... So thanks guys for listening. Leave your comments on the thread.

Im back... For good this time

Hello peeps... Guess what. the blog has changed. Now since the family and I moved to New Zealand. I guess its better to change the title of the blog. Don't get me wrong it will still be a blog about nothing. But now the nothing comes from NZ.
