New year new beginning...

Well its the new year once again. Twenty-ten the kids nowdays call it. Any new years resolution? Nah... Since I can't even keep last years resolution. I think the only resolution that I can do is changing my screen resolution so that I wont strain my eyes...

Going back home soon... Yippe... Sort of... Probably not...

I dont know, its actually not consider a holiday since you have to go here there and everywhere. Well, enjoy very last moment of it since I know I wont be coming back again for a long time. Sigh...

Quick update...

I got myself a brand spanking new toy. An iPod Touch 32GB. After jailbreaking it (hacking the hardware to play pirated games) im loving every minute of it. Why not get an iPhone? Well other than the fact I dont like to talk on a phone that looks like a cardboard cutout. I dont see the point. I have a perfectly good phone with me. I just want the other function since the iPod and the phone is basically the same item minus camera and phone capabilities.

Stuff that Im watching

I just watch AVATAR last week in 3D. All I got to say is... that movie blew my mind out. It was like my brain was transported somewhere else .Everything is so glow in the dark. Everything is so vibrant. Go and watch it and preferably in 3D. Other than that just watching was is available on my computer...

Games that Im playing

I just finished Batman Arkham Asylum. Great game, but a bit too short, especially when you start to get a hang of things. Probably going to play it again (when I have the time)

Other stuff

The little one is great. She is such a good girl right now... We've been rewarding her with stickers for good behaviour. So everything is sticker this and that. Kind makes you wonder when will she get bored of those things... Wifey is still in the rut. I hope stuff moves along for her... Really scared for her right now...

Ok, signing off...

fa la la la la la la la....

My post are getting my discreet by the month. Is not that I hate posting, Is just that no one is looking. Oh well... Might as well post. Is a horrible holiday. First of all, the little one got a bug from the daycare (it is because some parents are just not taking responsibility for their own child's well being). Sucks... She spends 6 days vomitting and pooping... It is still on going. That means we are stuck home taking care of her and watching Dora the Explorer the umpteenth time.

Other than that New Zealand is taking Xmas like their holiday. I know I come from a country where we have holidays every other month but over here this is the ONLY holiday (aside from easter and new years). Nothing is open the city centre is a ghost town. This will continue until the beginning of the new year.

Ok enough mellow talk...

Let me update...

Stuff that I am playing

I've gotten bored of the PSP, it will usually come back after a while. Now Im playing Batman Arkham Asylum for the PC. If you love batman, you owe it to yourself to play this game. This game rocks the only sad part is I only can play it early in the morning since its not suitable for kids.

Stuff that I am watching

EVERYTHING... I just got my 6 month stock from d3x which includes. 50 shows ( approx 300 episodes) 200 Movies, 400 hours of Documentaries and DVD rips to last me until July.

Stuff that I am doing

Nothing much, the wifey PHD is going very slow... she need a motivator. I hope thing will pick up after the holidays.

OK, Im out... Deck the halls...

8 November 2009

Quick post

Ok, its 4am. I can't sleep. Or I was just about to sleep. But I decided to post here since I am not like any 80's kind of dude with a diary or such. After 3 months over here, I've finally settle down. Do I love it here? YES. Is this the best place to live? MAYBE. Do I want to stay here forever? NO. But I do love it here. I love this place so much that this place has given me a great gift. Im now 13kg's lighter than before. A lot of walking and climbing 45 degrees slopes and carrying my daughter has something to do with it.

I just figured out something. which is kind of freaking me out. I am content. I know that to be false cause human beings can be content. But I am. I figuratively am content with my life. Maybe I have a great wife, a wonderful daughter. Sure I have my own set of problems (which I won't divulge) but I am one happy camper. Its wired, I usually am the guy with a dark mood over his shoulder. Man... I miss my friends... I need to make new friends. Probably friends who are not the same species as me. I start studying this March... yay... booooooo. What to do. Nowdays everyone needs a degree in some shit to move foward. Oh well, since I have nothing to do here might as well give that a try. Plus I am starting from scratch. Which for me is ever better.

Why do no one read this blog. I think it has to do with marketing. No word to mouth. If was reading this I also won't read my stuff. This is just some incoherent babble of some lunatic who can't fall asleep for an hour. I really need to get on this facebook bandwagon (heck even my bro is on it). Man this sucks. (Wait did I just say this sucks) I have no friends probably since I am not well connected enough. Do I care? NO. I am use to having less then 5 friends. Over here I have none. My wife keeps me company and my daughter is a blast to hang around with. I miss my friends, but the funny thing is, is not like we hang out that much. Unless is playing games or munching on sushi. Sigh...

What have I observe during my stay here

1) Kiwi girls are mostly good looking ( so sue me, maybe I am the blonde girl type)

2) PC stuff here are expensive as hell

3) Nothing is open after 8pm

4) Everywhere I go I can eat Kebab (which I am sick of it)

5) The busses are pretty good

6) Everything here is quite expensive but after a while you start to accept the face that you can just go converting everything here. It will just drive you nuts.

7) Sushi is found everywhere and the miso soup here rocks.

Why no pictures... I guess that I don't see the point of me having them. Really need to get on facebook. But I am to lazy to set it up. Plus is will be another bad time waster. But I reaaly need to get connected. Will do that later

Ok wrap up before going to bed

Stuff that I am playing

Im playing my PSP again. GO figure. There is this cool site which give me access to old PS1 games. Which I am havving a blast on. Plus I am now playing a lot of Tekken.

Stuff that I am watching

Since my hdd with all my entertaiment need won't arrive until xmas. I am watching Kiwi Tv. Quite good. They are mostly up to date. Watching a bit of Top Chef, Survivor and Glee. Oh and in the morning Blues Clues with my lil gal.

Stuff that I am currently doing.

Nothing, aside from fondling my PSP and helping with PHD studies. Im doing shit. I am unemployed, probably i choose not to, so I stay home and cook and clean. Which is a swell gig for me. Ok then..

Signing off... Hopefully I get to post again soon....

Scary ad...

Well nothing to blog about this much today.(Actually there is but im just lazy, with pictures somemore). Since no one is looking at this blog. I'm going to start slow. I leave you guys to day with this very creepy ad. I don't know the excact numbers but death by intersection is the 3rd highest mortality rate in NZ. So is death by train (people never pay attention to the stop sign) So the goverment put this ad up to give people awareness is this issue. For me I find the guy in this ad creepy. Its like the grim reaper meet pat sajak (for those of you who dont know who is that guy, go google it)

There is another one where tat guy made it but I can seem to find it. Here a different version. They should have this back home for the rempits...

The best food... EVER

Ok, even if I am still in NZ, i can still blog about nothing. But this is the best nothing in the world. Even you are ever hungry and want to eat a lot of MEAT. There is this cool place located in Damansara Jaya which serves the best Brazillian Barbeque. For those of you not in the know. Brazil is famous for thier BBQ. They say its the seasoning and the way they cook it. There are 3 great things about this place. 1) Its free flowing meat. 2) They won't close until you are done (open at 6pm until late) 3) It is only RM 48 Nett. Seriously for 48 bucks and get free flowing of meat and salads. Im game. Here are the pics of what they serve over there. Sorry about my friend (ZK) in the screen. He is too happy enjoying his meat. (there is a funny story behind that... tell it after this)

Ok, first off you need to get the salads at the salad table. (no picture provided) Then the meat will come in some kind of skewer. Lets see first of (from last to first) They save us Lamb sholder.

Then there is BBQ chicken. One whole bird
This is curry dory fish. This is one of my favorite

This is lamb cutlet. More bone than meat.
This is the creme de la creme. Rump roast. Tender meat and you can pick what type of meat do you like. As for e I love medium well. Well done has to take a while. Damn this is good.
This is beef cutlet. Same like lamb cutlet. But beef I think

This is chicken ham. The onion is used to hold the ham on the skewer.
Chicken sausage. Nothing fancy here.

The is the best thing beside the meat. Garlic bread. What make this garlic bread so special is that dont skimp on the gralic butter. So when you bite on this you can taste the butter melts in your mouth. This is the best garlic bread ever. Nothing can beat this

There is one more but on the day we came they did'nt serve us that. It was grilled prawn. Since they are very particular on quality. So the prawn didn't live up to the standard of cooking. This is a place highly recommended to have a party. Coz it cheap and it good if you have big eaters. Rather than bringing them to a hotel or a restaurant. This will be better.(no money comes from me advertising this, but if I say this is the best food trust me on this) The place is called Carnaval Churrarasia (No that not a typo, its just a bit hard to pronouce it).

The story behind this place is...

5 days before we are going to NZ. I wanted to buy a laptop from me. Thanks to my loving mom, got some up front money (Ielts score may have given me that added bonus). So me, ZK, and wifey all went to Lowyat to get my new HP laptop. I promise ZK that Im going to treat him to Brazillian BBQ (since I saw that when I went to Singapore, on Tv, Survivor, bla bla bla). So after we bought the laptop. I called the BBQ place saying that we are coming over. They give me a very funny answer. What do you think the answer was

a) We are not open today
b) We are fully booked
c) We are closed for business
d) We change to a chinese restaurant
e) None of the above

The answer is... later, let me tell you the story first. We all went WHAT!!!... Then I was determine to get my BBQ. After doing some wifi jacking, went to google and we found that place. It was 1 hour drive from Lowyat. We all risk it and just went there. And the rest is history. The food was so great that we told everyone of my best friends to come again 1 day before we left. That was even beeter. That time there were 10 of us and the food was even better. So that the story of the best food in town. Sigh... It's going to be a while until im back home... Ok guys... Later. Oh, I forgot, the answer to the question above is d. hehehehe... funny right. they say they will change back to the brazillan place after they finish renovation which is in a couple of months. Its thier lost, since the food at this place is around 78 bucks nett

Ok some pics for you

The main thing that everyone ask me, where the heck are the pics. I want pics. As you see is hard to take a picture while pushing your stroller down or up the hill. But your in luck. I do have a couple of pics from NZ that I can share with you. Let me get my phone... (15 mins later)

Here are some pics
This is a moving ad. They actually pay someone to drive around carry ads. Plus they get to drive in a cool smart car.

As you can see, I saw someone trying to kill themselves, At Queen Street. (Its the most happening street in town... more on that later). Actually someone is shooting and ad also. The ad is about something and that guy is trying to hang that guy from the building. Cool picture. Everyone stop and take some picture first before crossing the street.

Ah... ok, Not actually great pics. But pics non the less. Promise next week will give some really good stuff. Later peeps.

Day 18

Finally I can blog in piece. Hi guys. We have finally settled at our 1 bedroom apartment. Not to shabby I might add. But lots of stuff happen during the course of the 18 days here. Let me see if I can blog it down to the highlights

Day 0

On the flight. Everything was great. My daughter as usual was have trouble adjusting to a 10 hour flight. Plus if I am not mistaken babies can hear a irritating pop in the ear. She was crying for 1 hour and thne she puked on me on the flight. And me without my spare jeans. What to do. Finally she got to sleep. Everyone was happy (they were giving us that look before when they know something is wrong). Landed at the airport all our bags were cleared. All 100kgs of it (in laws also tagged along on the trip).

Day 1-7

Auckland... the windy city (oh wait that Christchurch). Ah... Auckland the something city. We arrived at our 2 bedroom apartment. The first thing I notice about NZ is everything is bloody EXPENSIVE. But the lesson we learn once arriving is DO NOT Convert. If you convert of course everything is expensive. For example. A loaf of bread back home cost RM 3.00. Over here is 3.50 NZ Dollars. So that roughly around RM 9. When we are in Kiwiland do what the Kiwi's do. We got a helpfull guide, which is somewhat related to my wife (her cousin husbands sister; have no idea what that makes her to us). So she showed us around, get us settled in. When here and there and everywhere (more on that later; Im here for a while, I'll blog about it eventually). We are frantically looking for another place too stay since the current place is too expensive. Its around 460 NZD a week. And we can't afford it. So we finally found a place. Which is around 330NZD ( this doesnt include power and internet just water). So we will move next week. The funny thing that happen to me was I was walking from the grocery store and out of the sudden someone yelled my name. I turned around it was my old high school buddy that I haven't seen in 9 years. What a small world indeed. Well at least I know I have 1 friend over here.

Day 8-14

We finally move. The in laws decided to go on a tour across NZ. So we have to do everything ourselves. Don't quite mind it. The sad thing about the move is that someone stole one plastic bad which has our rice cooker in it. Like any asian a rice cooker is like our life. Everyone was sad (except me). Good thing we have a kind soul (was a phd student as well; family) lend us thier 2nd rice cooker until we can one back from home. All well. Almost everyday we went out. Lots of things to see. Don't worry I'll eventually blog about it... Daughter is getting restless, so we decided to put her in daycare. The daycare here are not like what we expect back home. The caretakers are professionals and have degree in child education (who knew there was such a degree) So eventually decided to do that since she need the exposure and eventually we both will be busy with our schdule. So better start now

Day 15- Now

Getting the hang of things now. Everything is smooth flowing I guess. There is more to come... So thanks guys for listening. Leave your comments on the thread.

Im back... For good this time

Hello peeps... Guess what. the blog has changed. Now since the family and I moved to New Zealand. I guess its better to change the title of the blog. Don't get me wrong it will still be a blog about nothing. But now the nothing comes from NZ.

26 May 2009

Epic Phail...

Haha, i was supposed to update this thread almost every week but I became lazy. Don't know why. Why the sudden interest in this blog. Im trying to keep myself form sleeping. So what new with me (nobody ever read my crap). Well I got only less then 10 days of work left. Then is off for a long 3 week holiday. Yay. Lots of thing sto do lots of things to see.

Other then that, we are doing a garage sale on stuff. Trying to get rid of all the stuff before the big day. Can't wait. I was ask to get rid of my comics. I really should but I invest a lot on those comics and I will regret myself if I ever sold them. I need a better paying job. I need to start studying again. That's another story. But I do know this, when I get a better paying job, im also getting a new hobby. Playing LEGO.

Games that Im playing.

Sadly none. Not enough time plus my daugther is hogging the tv in the evening and the missus at night. By the time all of them are asleep, I too hit the hay. I heard InFamous is good. Man I need time.

Stuff that I watching.

Summer is upon us. And you all know what that means. Summer Movies. I think I've been going to the cinema every week since May. From Star Trek (which is the best movie so far), Angels and Demons, Night at the Musuem 2 and the upcoming Terminator Salvation. The movies keep piling up.

Revenge is coming... As always 24 June

And with summer here, that means that all the current Us TV shows are all on a break. So catching up on some of the old downloads. Currently watching Jack Bauer Power Hour (aka 24).

New stuff I bought

My wife ask me to change my spec. So I got this uber cool Swidish design lenses (plastic frame with titanium holdings) with lens made of digital camera's. Zeiss lens are damn cool. Anti fog, smudge, and all lots of stuff.

Ok, that's all for now. Later...

26 February 2009

Picture about food... Yum

Ok, let start this off with some Ribs from Tony Romas. As you can see this Ribs is marinated with their special sauce and serve with baked potato and steam vegetables.
This is a called a shrimp cocktail. Its shrimp that is fried and put on the cocktail like glass and serve with 2 chopsticks. The taste is indescribable.

This is from a place called NY NY deli. It serve mostly burgers, steaks and other stuff. This is a mushroom swiss burger. As you can see it has more than a quarter pound of meat serve with fries. And it only cost RM 16. Value for money

This is the chicken sandwhich that my wife ate from the same place. Quite nice, grill chicken on a toasted bun. Nothing that is out of the ordinary.

This is onion rings. Serve with a very sweet sauce.

Ok This is not food. It just a picture of my daughters duplo blocks. I made a ship out of it. Using all the 102 pieces. It just look cool.

This is Salmon Shashimi (means it raw and finely cut from a certain angle) from the best sushi place in town. It's called Zanmai Sushi. The price is the same as Sushi King with the one big difference is... the ingredients are all freshly made. The shashimi is thick and very rich in flavor.
Yummy...

Ok, back to NY NY deli. do not order this. This is called cheeze balls but there is nothing great about this. The cheese taste like artificial cheese. So a big no no in my book
From the same place, this is the best burger I've tasted. This is the Philly Steak Sandwhich burger. Finly cut strips of beef on a slice of melted cheese serve with fries.

This is from Zanmai. Looks like a burger but it's not a burger. It face that is rice on top and in the middle is Unagi (eel). Quite ok but I dont think is availble is it was a promotional deal.

This is from Paddington House of Pancakes. All I can say is this place is highly overprice and I dont recommend anyone to go there. Below is the sausage with mash potato pancake.

Here is steak with also Mashed potato pancake. Everything here is shaped like a pancake. I think its thier gimmick or something.

This is from the place where you want to eat the best Italian food (no its not Italiannies). It's called delicious at One Utama (also availble in other places). Below is the picture of thier garlic bread and my favorite pasta. The cabonara with bacon and cheese. Damn nice. Damn it, im hungry again.

Ok. I've save the best for last. This is the worlds biggest burger. No its not photoshopped. Is actually a 8 inch burger. If you dont believe me the 2nd picture shows my friend ZK is putting his Nintendo DS for compairison. So you can see how big and juicy it is. There is a funny story about this burger. We both were hungry so we want to order the biggest burger out there. We as the waiter to cut the burger in half. The guy said this is meant for 4 people. We just say Ok. But when it arrive it was DAMN big. We think that we could finish but after one palm size quarter piece. We finally surrender. We take the leftover back home.

Movie Review : The Pink Panther 2

The Pink Panther is back. Funnier than ever. Steve Martin returns as the bumbling Inspector Jacques Clouseau. This time to solve a case that has grip the whole world. A thief call the tornado is stealing all the valuable items in the world and its up to a group detectives to solve the crime. This is way funnier than the first movie. There are like 20 funny scene through out the movie. This is a recommend watch for anyone who wants to have a good time. I won't spoil the movie that much but I do miss his famous catchphrase "I would like to buy a amburger"

I give it a 5/5 pink panthers.

Movie Review : Bride Wars

Well lets face it, when you have a chick by your side. There will be a day where you need to see a chick flick. Or in this case a comedic chick flick. Bride Wars stars the ever so beautiful Anne Hathaway (she is beautiful) and Kate Hudson. The premise of the story is best friends want to get married, accidentally book the same day for the wedding, both doesn't want to back down and that when the war start. There are some funny moments but not all of the time. Overall good DVD rental.

I give this movie a 3 out of 5 wedding cakes

It's been a while

Its been a while since I post something on this blog. Really need to start too. Let's see what new? Nothing much. I've been playing God of War. Trying to catch up on my own game. Sadly I still haven't gotten my hands on Street Fighter 4. They say that the final boss is cheaper than a 99cent store. (for those of you who doesn't know what cheap means let me explain)

cheap :- Something that happens without any effort form someone that will cause another person to pull their hair out.

Ok, since I haven't been posting a lot. Today Im going to post a couple of movie reviews, a couple of food pictures.

Other than that I would like to say Happy belated birthday to my wife. She is still young at heart. At least her surprise party was good until the last hour. And she got a Samsonite laptop bag for her birthday. Overall a good week.

Game Review : Gears of War 2

Finally I can do this review. This game is Mega EPIC (pun the word). EPIC GAMES design a freaking cool game. This is the only game I know that we can go with a partner a blast all the horde (bad guys)

What I liked.

Graphics - Lets face it. Games can get that much better anymore. I think it CAN be better but right now we are enjoying what it has too offer. The graphic is bright and crisp. The details of the model is as real as it can get. The character models looks like they are on steroids. Nobody is that big in real life.

Gameplay - Flanking, covering, shooting with a team mate. that all good. This game provide a strategy of playing unlike any shooting game I've seen before. Its good playing this with a friend. Hardcore mode is always challenging. Weapons also play a big factor in this game. The mortar cannon, the lancer, and the hammer of dawn are some of the favorites of mind. The boss fights are epic. A fish that we have to go inside its mouth to kill it. A big giant worm that we have to cut of the heart. EPIC man... epic...

What I dont like.

Gameplay - Too short. Ok, it around 12 hours in hardcore mode. But I wish it was more. It was over to quick.

Story - It just too convoluted. Not confusing. Just it did'nt end like it should. there is still a couple of loose ends. Now lets hope Gears 3 will be better.

I give it a 5/5. A must play...

17 February 2009

I've left the building

Its more like my brain has left the building. I don't know why I do this but I do know that it still provide stability in my life. 54 more days. Or less. Yawn...

1 February 2009

Revenge of the Fallen..

Here the trailer for Revenge of the Fallen as well as G.I Joe for tomorrow Superbowl. All I can say it... This is the only movie I want to see this year.

And here the new G.I joe Trailer. Not bad. Not bad at all.

5 more months... Sigh

26 January 2009

Im content... that just wired

Im back again. After a long 2 weeks of in and out of the hospital (not me but the missus). I finally get a chance to blog again. I must say when Im the hospital im just a lazy as I can be. I'll bath only once a day and eat only once day. Time spend there is either playing DS or watching Tv. What can I say, Im just a lazy person

Im having lack of sleep this past week. The reason Gears of War 2 baby!!!. Playing with ZK (not real name) from midnite till 6am in the morning is just sick. After 5am my brain was like a zombie. The funny thing is I can still shoot and kill lots of hordes. Didn't had that much sleep that day. But no matter is still ok. We both got 2 more hours of GOW left before I can do a full fledge review. I always like to review my games after I finish them.

I am considerably the luckiest guy alive. I think I got everything, great family, great friends, great gadgets. I dont know what can I ask for anymore. Really I dont. I even dont know what to get the missus for her birthday (any suggestion will be nice) or even our anneversary. Oh well... Still got time. Let future me handle that... (note to future me; dont trust past me, always makes bad decision)

I still haven't tested my ps3 and still havent took a photo of my gaming rigs. Need to do that soon. What else to write...hmm. 5 more days till the Superbowl. Im not a big fan of American Football but Im a big fan of the halftime show... and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen will be out on that day. Hopefully I can post a a youtube trailer of it here.

I plan to do a 100 something (best games. cartoons, tv shows) but I figure is irrelavant. NO ONE READS THE DAMN BLOG... (except you two.) You know who you are.

Ok then enough rambling from me, now time to play somemore Picross DS. Really, if you have someone who is into gaming, get them a DS.

20 January 2009

Finally I got my PS3

I got my 250gb backward compatible PS3. Plus with 20 ps2 games to boot. Just finish setting it up yesterday at 1am. Was too tired to play. Now working for 2 days, so probably wont have time to play at all. Can't wait. Now I have to go hunting some games for my ps3 collection. What can I say the first time handling a ps3. That thing is freaking heavy. Like 5 kgs or something. Its heavier than my Xbox.

I want to go home and play...

14 January 2009

Im sick

The whole family has been sick for two weeks. The cough spread from one person to another and what do you know. Im the last person that got it. I've been coughing for 4 days now. I don't mind the coughing. Its just really annoying when im sleeping. Hopefully can get better by this friday. In other news today and tomorow is my day off. So probably I hang back and just rest. Drink plenty of fluid. I've been at my mom house for 2 weeks already (quarrantine zone). I have tons backlogs of shows that I haven't start watching. Good thing a friend of mine is downloading it everyday. Ok then... Cough... Cough... Sigh...

12 January 2009

R.I.P EGM

My 100 bucks for entertainment funds is usually spend on movies, buying blank DVD's and my monthly dose of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM). For those of who dont know what EGM is. Its a gaming magazine that dates back from the year 1989. Around 237 issues have been publish and 2 more months will be its 20th Anniversary.

But as they say, all good things must come to an end. Bevause of the current world ecnomy crisis right now the company that publish EGM (Ziff Davis) declared bankrupcy. As a result they sold their company to another company. And that company decided NOT to keep EGM. So next month will be my first month in 6 years without a gaming mag. Well At least I can save 20 bucks.

1989-2009
R.I.P EGM You will be missed
